Reglas claras y cortas para usar El Bote. Al crear una cuenta o usar la app, las aceptas.
¿Qué es El Bote?
Una app para llevar torneos de golf (inscripción, rondas, scores y posiciones) y partidos entre amigos con un bote, contados en puntos. La ofrece Ivan Norman Wilcox, Columbia Británica, Canadá.
Los torneos están en beta
Por ahora un torneo se arma solo escribiéndonos a hola@elbotegolf.com; nadie puede crear uno por su cuenta. Los jugadores entran con el enlace del organizador. Algunas cosas pueden cambiar mientras dure la beta.
Organizar un torneo
- El organizador decide las reglas de su torneo (formatos, categorías, desempates) y sus premios, y responde por ellos ante sus jugadores.
- El organizador puede corregir scores y la lista de jugadores; cada corrección queda a la vista de los jugadores del torneo, con su motivo.
- Pide solo los datos que el torneo necesita, y úsalos solo para el torneo.
El dinero no pasa por la app
El Bote solo lleva los scores y los puntos. No cobra, no guarda ni mueve dinero. Lo que se acuerde fuera de la app, como los premios de un torneo, es entre los jugadores y el organizador. Revisa los resultados.
Tu cuenta
- Debes ser mayor de edad donde vives.
- Usa tu nombre real y datos correctos; una cuenta por persona.
- Cuida tu contraseña: lo que se haga con tu cuenta es tu responsabilidad.
- Puedes borrar tu cuenta cuando quieras desde tu perfil (Eliminar mis datos).
Usa El Bote de buena fe
- Anota scores, hándicaps y unidades reales, y sube la foto de la tarjeta que de verdad se firmó.
- Inscríbete con tu nombre; no pidas el lugar de otra persona en una lista.
- Agrega campos que existen, con su ubicación correcta.
- No te hagas pasar por otra persona ni agregues invitados sin su permiso.
- No intentes entrar a datos de otros ni dañar el servicio.
Podemos corregir o quitar campos y suspender cuentas que no cumplan estas reglas.
Lo que agregas
Los campos que agregas quedan disponibles para todos los golfistas, también si después borras tu cuenta. Tus botes solo los ven sus jugadores, y tus torneos sus jugadores y organizadores (ver Privacidad).
El servicio
El Bote se ofrece tal como está. Hacemos lo posible por que funcione bien y calcule correctamente, pero puede tener errores o pausas, y puede cambiar o dejar de existir. En la medida que la ley lo permite, no somos responsables por pérdidas que resulten de usar la app, incluidos los acuerdos entre jugadores y organizadores.
Cambios
Si estos términos cambian, los publicamos aquí con la nueva fecha. Si sigues usando El Bote, aceptas la versión nueva.

What El Bote is
An app for golf tournaments (sign-up, rounds, scores and standings) and for matches among friends with a bote, counted in points. It's provided by Ivan Norman Wilcox, British Columbia, Canada.
Tournaments are in beta
For now a tournament is set up only by writing to us at hola@elbotegolf.com; nobody can create one on their own. Players join with the organizer's link. Some things may change during the beta.
Running a tournament
- The organizer decides their tournament's rules (formats, categories, tiebreaks) and its prizes, and answers for them to their players.
- The organizer can correct scores and the player list; each correction is visible to the tournament's players, with its reason.
- Ask only for the details the tournament needs, and use them only for the tournament.
Money doesn't go through the app
El Bote only keeps the scores and the points. It doesn't charge, hold or move money. Whatever is agreed outside the app, such as a tournament's prizes, is between the players and the organizer. Check the results.
Your account
- You must be of legal age where you live.
- Use your real name and correct details; one account per person.
- Keep your password safe: what's done with your account is your responsibility.
- You can delete your account any time from your profile (Delete my data).
Use El Bote in good faith
- Enter real scores, handicaps and units, and upload the photo of the card that was really signed.
- Sign up under your own name; don't ask for someone else's place on a list.
- Add courses that exist, at their correct location.
- Don't pretend to be someone else or add guests without their permission.
- Don't try to reach other people's data or harm the service.
We may correct or remove courses and suspend accounts that break these rules.
What you add
Courses you add stay available to every golfer, also if you later delete your account. Your botes are only seen by their players, and your tournaments by their players and organizers (see Privacy).
The service
El Bote is provided as is. We do our best for it to work well and calculate correctly, but it may have errors or pauses, and it may change or stop. As far as the law allows, we aren't responsible for losses from using the app, including agreements between players and organizers.
Changes
If these terms change, we publish them here with the new date. If you keep using El Bote, you accept the new version.
